I agree with Pete. If you have or can borrow a charger, try a good slow (trickle) charge first. Just know that you should take the battery out to charge it. And never put a battery on concrete. Always put it on wood for charging or storage. If that doesn't work, take it to a car parts store like Walmart, Sears or some store like that. They will test for free. If it's bad you can buy a new one while there. BTW... Cold does really affect a low or bad battery. A bad battery will stall your car while driving down the road also. Just using the lights and radio can leave you out in the cold wishing you had changed that battery out.

My '96 Honda Accord with almost 200,000 miles on it wouldn't start when it was -20 outside, which I thought was normal. However, I tried it again later when it was close to 30 degrees. Every time I try to start it the engine sounds like it turns over but too slowly. My car makes the chugging noise and vibrates such as it does the split second before it starts, but no go. What has the cold done to my car, if that has anything to do with it? A friend who only knows a little about cars saw that my spark plugs were pretty worn out, but nothing else apparent.
Ok, forgot to mention I tried a jump start, and shouldn't that have done SOMETHING?
