Hello,
I am in the market for my first motorcycle. My number one criteria is that it must be suitable for touring.
Everything about the Honda VTX 1300 T (Tourer) model seems to be a good fit for me, including price, comfort, touring attachments, etc. On the other hand, I cannot get passed the fact that the bike has a carburetor--not fuel injection. The carb would require considerable maintenance and adjustment, I would think.
The price for the bike is OK with me, but it is my top end. I can go no higher. Otherwise, I'd probably go fr the Harley Heritage Softtail classic, but that's at least $4,000 more.
Any thoughts or personal experiences on the carb used on the Honda VTX 1300 T? Am I being overly concerned?
Can you recommend another touring bike with fuel injection at the same price point as the Honda VTX 1300 T (around $12,000 MSRP)?
Thanks,
Dave
