Need a little faith

I am looking to buy a 2006 Honda Civic/Accord OR a Toyota in the same range.
What do people suggest in reliablity, length of service (hahaha) and safety !! I want the one that could last me the longest wtih the proper care, and the safest in an accident.. HELP PLEASE
For the person who was being soo rude to call everyone names, because they were just being kind enough to answer my question, and give their opinon is uncalled for. How about you give your opinion but do not be rude to those before you. Not nice. If you do not like either Honda or Toyota, that is your perogative, but no need to be RUDE
