Ok so im going to be buying my first bike, but have been riding my moms little 150cc scooter, dont laugh its fun and allows me to learn how to handle 2 wheels on the real rode without having to worry about shifting, and i have ridden my uncles 500cc Honda streetbike, so i have a little experence along with the MSF course. So after hours and hours of research i have come down to two bikes: the Honda Shadow Spirit 750cc and the Harley Sportster 883cc. I am 6'2" and 200lb. I want a bike i can ride for a couple seasons then up grade. Im about 17 so i dont have tons of money to drop and a junk bike and then turn around and buy a new bike after. My goal is harley and i have read great stuff about the 883cc but i know hondas are reliable. SOME ONE HELP ME!

The first guy got it right. You can not beat the Sportster for low maintenance costs and you can upgrade the motor to a 1200 for a reasonable cost in the future to make it a hot rod that will smoke the larger Harleys. It's really a great bike and my guess is you'll never want to get rid of it even if you get the hots for a bigger bike in the future because you'll like it that much you'd rather keep it than let it go.The Honda is a good bike and I'm not going to bash it but if you like Harley's bikes you'll wish you never bought the Honda and you'll regret it each time you see a Harley.
