Honda Shadow A.E.C. 750cc a good beginner motorcycle?

I'm looking to buy my first motorcycle. I had posted a question earlier asking if the Honda Shadow 600cc was a good beginner and was told it was. Rather than upgrading quickly, I am considering the Shadow A.C.E. 750cc instead, It is only around 50 lbs heavier. Any thoughts as to whether this is too much bike for a beginner. I'm 6'0", 175lbs. Bottom line is, I'd rather not have to upgrade right away, but I don't want to make the mistake buying a bike that's too heavy and/or to much power as a beginner.
