Honda Radio won't let me hit any code numbers?

I have a 2006 Honda Civic and got a junk yard radio to replace my old one. I have obtained the code to enter, but I had previously entered the wrong code and now all it says is enter code. But it does not let me press any numbers? I have tried to disconnect the batter and power from the radio to reset it, but to no avail. Any advice?
