Honda Experts,
I have a Honda Pilot which has 60K miles. Recently when I was at Honda, they recommended that I do Power Steering Flush. They said it costs $131. I have the following questions in this regard:
(1) Is this a regular required maintenance? In other words, how many miles once this fluid needs to be flushed for Honda Pilot?
(2) Is $131 reasonable to change this? I checked the price of this fluid on honda accessories website and it only costs like $4 per 12oz. So it appears the fluid itself is very cheap, but the labor to change it and disposing of old one is what costs more. What do u think?
(3) Can I get this done in other places? Like a local oil change shop who may also do this service? Will this be cheaper in other places?
