honda passport 70 carb issue?

i have a 88 kit with a long duration cam from beatrice.com I cant seem to get the jetting right though. Stock main jet is a 75 I went up to a 82 with just the big bore kit and its good. but when i put the long duration cam in it is rich to the max and it cant get out of its own way...theres a 18mm carb on it stock...do i need to go to a bigger carb to get more air? what size if so..i know mikuni has a 26mm for like $100...would 26 be way to much? I know a lot of people are putting them on crf 50s with big bore kits
