i recently bought a honda mtx 80 (1985)
It was listed as spares or repairs and i have done it up.
I finished it this morning, it started no problems really.
without thinking i then started to gentley go around the field (as i had fit a new big bore kit) and silly me i had forgot to check the gearbox oil !! i had only been running it for about 10 minutes when i thought about it. I immediatly went back to the garage and put 1 and a half pints of oil in. I then left it an hour and then started her up and tryed it again. When i tryed it there seemed to be a bit of knocking coming from the engine, only minor knocking though. it still selected all 5 gears easy though. Have a done any damage to the engine/gearbox ?
