I have a honda hra214 push mower. Its about 23yrs old.
This mower has ran just fine and always started on first 1/2 pull everytime. Recently my mower has been a beast to start. Only starts when it wants. I changed the oil,spark plug,gas. I cleaned the carb and still wouldn't start. Mower gets good compression. I sprayed starting fluid and still nothing.
Checked and plug gets good spark as well.
Lastnight I pulled the cable very slowly and it fired right up. I shut it down and tried at a normal pull speed and nothing. I tried it very slow and it fired up again. When running the mower is at a normal idle. When i engage the blade it runs at a very high idle and cutting is so fast that it shoots pebbles or anything else like a gun.lol I have to cut the grass with protection on its that bad.
Can someone please help me. Its a ohv engine,and has only one screw from what I can see. It is also self primered. I appreciate everything.
