N norm Guest Dec 23, 2008 #2 This happened on my 1994 Cavalier and it was because my catalytic converter was rotten and blocking the exhaust. Might not be your problem, but worth checking. Could also be your spark plugs, dirty air filter and maybe a general tuneup would help.
