HONDA GUYS HELP ME OUT?

I have a 2000 Civic DX I bought I it's my first car I'm 17 I want to know what type of engine it has and I want to swap the engine for a different one because it has like 300,000 miles on it I want a engine for racing. ( a 4 Cylinder don't say why does he want a 4 cylinder he should get some thing bigger I hate American Muscle I've seen Hondas beat Cameros there v8 ) if your a ricer or have ever been called one please don't answer this question just move on
