My Honda Gl500 won't start - Ive tried cleaning the carbs, checked the fuses, replaced the battery and spark plugs, tried blowing gas out of of the cylinders, flushed the gas out and replaced it w/ new gas, earlier it would bump-start now it won't even do that - When I bump start it it sounds like the engine is spinning but it just won't start.. What happens if the rectifer is dead? Also there is a little cylinder by the main fuse (30A) that contains a coil and a capacitor with three plugsin the top, one of which isnt plugged in (there is no end piece to plug it in, but there is a slot for it) what is this piece and could it be the source of my problems? Appreciate the help!
PS. The bike had been sitting for a year, it started a few times just fine then it wouldnt start so we bump started it figuring it was just the battery, then mid-ride it sounded like it was running out of gas and we couldnt get it to bump start anymore
