I ride a VTR 250 and stacked it in the wet(from oil in the middle of th road) at 25 mph. All of the weight went onto my right knee. I've injured my right knee(nearly shattered and can't walk) and am out of work for a while(luckily with no other injuries). I am thinking of selling my bike and going back to scooters because the leg position is forward and not on the sides. I learned to ride on a scooter. I've ridden a Yamaha majesty and another 250cc maxi scooter before and found them comfortable. I've found a 1999 Honda foresight for a competitive price. I don't want to give up riding altogether but I want something safer. I know shoulders are more at risk on a scooter, but I'd rather live with an injured arm than not being able to walk.
