I bought a Honda Urban Express scooter/bike/moped/engine thingie...
And basically when I kick-start it, the motor starts, then revs all the way to max max max speed. Only way to stop it is to turn it off, and if I throttle it it doesn't affect it at all.
Here is a list of things i've done to troubleshoot it, and none of these so far have solved the issue, so if anyone has better idea's as to why this is happening it would be much appreciated.
*I have taken apart the carburetor and cleaned it
*Checked fuel line, its clean
*replaced spark plug
*cleaned out the automatic choke, right next to the spark plug up front (its a small panel that supposedly controls the rich-to-lean fuel mixture
*checked throttle cable, was a little loose, loosened it all the way, no go, tightened it back up, still didn't solve problem
*tried loosening and alternatively tightening the 2 screws that are to the side of the carb and in the manual say they control air intake(?)
The only way I can get it to idle somewhat "properly" is to place my thumb over the air filter intake port and basically block the amount of air the engine gets, so obviously it must be an air intake problem.
Any answerers anyone can give me would be great.
