2005 Element. I turn the key and there is a whirring motor sound but the engine will not crank. The motor sounds like the starter (sound is in the front of the car) and does not sound like the "far-away" whirring of a fuel pump deep in the tank. Is it reasonable to assume the starter is turning but not engaging? Is this going to require a new starter? Is it hard to push-start an element?
Battery is definitely OK and it is a 5 speed.
