I'm thinking of buying an old honda and swap it's engine and do other modifications to make it a bit more powerful. (I dont have money to buy Evos and Suabrus)

Please give me a suggestion. in my country, above mentioned two models are available for cheap. which one should I go with ?

well both of those cars are CRAP you wont get any real reliable HP and FT/LB out of a 4Cly engine it would be cheaper to buy an old muscle car like a 3rd Gen mustang "like a 1985 mustang GT" they are cheap and there large V8 motors are cheap and easy to work on and you will get 10x more power out of them

if you want to buy a crap honda and think you going to have a fast car for little money your wrong it takes a lot more money to make a fast honda then to make a fast muscle car

go with an old camaro or mustang you wont regret it

the only regret you will have is to buy a honda and think your going to go anywhere fast with a low budget take it from me i have been down that road don't get a honda!

Despite what the poster above says. Hondas are not crap, that is just a bigoted opinion.

However, doing an engine swap is generally more expensive and prone to more problems than buying a car with the power you want anyway. If you can't afford an EVO then you can't afford to do an engine swap.

If you get a 1.6 VTEC CRX or Civic, they are not bad cars, they are fast enough and good fun to drive.
