honda crf100f Carberator problem please help!?

ok i took the float bowl off put a pin through all the holes, and this small piece fell out and i dont know wheree it goes (the piece has a pointed rubber end on it). When i have the fuel in the on position and its running gas pours out of the overflow . did i make the holes to big with the pin? or is that piece needed(if sso where does it go)? plz hurry thank you
