This will be my first car purchase and I want to make sure I'm getting the best deal from these cars. I heard that VW have maintenance issues and generally have higher maintenance cost. I test drove the CR-V and it felt really great. I didn't test drive the Jetta though. The reason I'm choosing between these two cars is because I want to buy a less expensive car, which is the Jetta but my parents want me to get a 4WD. I was quoted ~$25,000 for the CR-V and ~$19,200 for the Jetta. I would like to know what you guys think between these two and any other suggestions you guys have. Thanks in advance.
I know they are two different types of cars. I test drove a lot of cars, such as RAV4, Xterra, Tacoma, etc. But I noticed that most AWD's are expensive and so decided to look at sedans. I came across Jetta and Sentra and saw Jetta was at a good price for what I wanted. Thing that is making me hesitant is its maintenance problems. Now I'm leaning towards CR-V after reading your guys' comments.
