honda cr 125 carb overflowing?

Hi, iv got a 1997 honda cr125, i have just had a full engine rebuild on it but now when i turn the petrol on fuel pours out of the overflows on the card, so i blocked one of and it came out another, i don't think the carb is very new, so will it need adjusting, cleaning, changing or anything else????? PLEASE HELP. as i do not know a lot about engines. thanks in advance.
 
sounds like the carb, float is bad or not properly adjusted. Also shut off seat may need replacing, but try replacing the float first.
