ok, asking this question for a friend, he has a 96 four door civic dx, the original motor it came with a d15 non vtec, the previous owner swapped in a d16 vtec not sure of the exact d16 but my guess would be a d16z6 simply because they are easy to come by seeing as how alot of people are swapping them out for b16s. hes having problems with his wiring because the previous owner did a hack job on wiring everything up. took the old engine harness out along wit the ecu, but i believe he got the wiring harness from a b16, not sure. so my question is, as long as he gets a d16 engine harness, it should directly plug into a p28 ecu correct? also d16z6's are obd1 if im not mistaken, would a piggy back on the ecu also work? any help would be appreciated.
honda civic wiring problem?
