i traded a car for a different car with someone and they didnt put the title in their name. and i have no way of contacting the guy to get it in his name so he can transfer it over to me. can i have the person that is listed on the front of the title sign it over to me, or does it have to be the person that had the car last. and i called the dmv, they said to fill out a bond statement guide. how long does it take to process? if i have the title, proof of insurance, a ID and that guide, can i get temp tags that day? if so how much would it cost. the car is not stolen. i called the police and they ran it through the system.
