Honda Civic gear shift problem?

I have a 2006 honda civic and twice now when i have gone to start the car in the morning, it won't start. Thought it was my battery, but someone pointed out to me that when i turn the key, even though the shift is in park, it shows on the dash that it is in gear d3? if i put it in neutral it will start. My dealer says they cannot find anything wrong. Anyone ever hear of that problem?
 
Yes. There's a shift sensor (some where at the base of the shifter). The sensors are broken.

I would just live with the problem (and start on neutral)
