Honda Civic car problems?

I have a 1999 honda civic and it wont start for some reason. When i turn the key, the engine does nothing. the gauges turn on, the headlights work, windows work, etc. Everything works except the engine. Can you please give advice on this?

I dont think it is the battery because if it was, the engine would probably atleast click or attempt to turn over but I am getting nothing.

Help please.
