I bought an 04 civic in march. All was great until a few weeks later there was this weird pulsating grinding noise when I brake. My mechanic said to change the brake pads because it is probably high metallic brake pads. I did and the noise stopped for about a month. Then it came back.
My neighbor who works on cars checked the brakes, rotors and calipers. All was fine. He was baffled by the noise. He told me to "grease the hell out of them." which I did and all was fine.
Two weeks later it came back. Baffles everyone who hears it. It is not there in the morning and increases in noise throughout the day.
Please, please help. Its an awful noise and I feel stuck with a broken car.
