So I've been driving my 2004 Honda City for nearly a year now and just recently I started playing around with the manual 7-Speed shifting (on the steering wheel). I've noticed that when I press the button and put it on manual, my acceleration seems to increase
I know next to nothing when it comes to the technical details about transmissions and gearboxes. I'm wondering if anyone can offer me an explanation of how the 7-speed actually works, what it does and when I should/shouldn't use it.
Right now I'm just using it whenever I need an extra bit of acceleration or driving long stretches of highway or when I feel like tinkering with it. I've read the manual but I still don't fully understand. I'd appreciate it if someone who drives a City can offer me some explanation
