honda cbr900 running rich?

Just bought a 1994 CBR900 RR it is really high in km's i mean like 40k on it and it is running really rich like it runs and rides fine but this is my first bike and im not that impressed it still pulls pretty hard but stinks of fuel any thoughts or tips ? also whats the rough cost to have a single fork seal replaced and have the motor rebuilt or at the very least the valves adjusted the carbs tuned and you know basic performance maintenance please keep in mind first bike don't know much about them some try and dumb it down just a bit
