I have a 2008 honda accord with the 7 speaker sound upgrade. It does have a separate sub output but its for the 6 1/2'' sub from the factory. I just bought 4 alpine coaxile speakers, one 12'' subwoofer and an amplifier with 4.1 channels (4 for the speakers and one for the sub).
The sound from my factory system isn't bad but its just not loud enough, so heres the question.
Do I need an aftermarket head unit as well? Because the HU now is pretty large and looks like a normal aftermarket HU is too small for the console. And would i need to do any sort of modifications to the door panels when I put the new speakers in? Thank you.
