I have an Automatic 92 Honda Accord LX with a 2.3Ltr Engine.
Today this evening, i head the engine rattling at the left side a little
i just thought it was a loose part within the engine compartment since the car was vibrating. I drove from school about 8 or 10 miles, then about a quarter mile before my house the engine started rattling louder and sounded dry.
When i parked it i checked the oil level and it was at the medium level, so i decided to fill it up to the top level and fired the engine once more. This time you could actually hear the pistons or idk what was it run dry especially the valves most. One moment i remember the oil lamp went on also so i just moved it across the street and decided to leave it there. So i just turned it off right awway...........
Do you guys think it's the oil pump??
OH and NOTE my engine has 260,000 miles on it and the pump i dont think it has ever been replaced. Also for the VALVE head is that thing gone? it might have chewed up already with no oil.
