I have a 96 Honda Accord 4 cylinder. I had a check-engine light on around 45 days back and Carx told me to have a fuel filter, dist cap, rotor and spark plug change. They also asked me to change the wiring as according to them everything cumulative was causing one of the cylinder misfiring resulting in check engine light on. I did all what they told me and after 45 days again I had the same problem - Engine check light on with code as engine 3 misfiring. This time they asked me to get a fuel induction cleaning which I again did. Just after another day, engine check light again came on and this time they told me that due to the fuel induction cleaning, this might be happening and would go away after I drive for a while.
Me being layman not really sure if they are looting me or are telling the truth. Any inputs that can be provided to indicate if its a fraud would be really great.
