Hey...
My Honda Accord 2000 Car Engine Temperature Gauge in my dash board doing weird thing.
When I start my car, after 5 min Temperature gauge goes to normal temperature, and suddenly it drops to ZERO for about 1min.
Then it goes back to normal after few minutes...

Then again it drops to ZERO & repeats the cycle until I drive for about 30 min. After that it works normal.

The same day my check engine sign started.

I check my radiator the fluid is enough.

Please help me if you know the solution.

it sounds as though there is a problem with the Electronic Coolant Temperature Sensor. That sensor is an input to the powertrain control unit that determines how much fuel to inject based on variables such as engine temperature, load, vehicle speed etc. if the sensor is going 'open circuit' the gauge will drop out to zero. it sounds like the sensor is making and breaking the circuit as the temperature of the engine increases when warm, the sensor expands and then the gauge works fine. until then it sounds like an intermittant signal.

the ECT will cause the check engine light to come on.

i would recommend you go to any Autozone parts store. they will pull the diagnostic trouble code that is stored when the check engine light comes on and then you will know if the problems are related or if you have two separate problems. my guess is that they are the same problem with the same cause.

hope that helps
