Honda 400ex Gear Problems?

Hello i have a 1999 Honda 400ex. Ok well i was riding one day and i noticed that my 2nd gear was slipping it felt like it wasnt catching and then all of a sudden my 2nd gear just stopped working completly. All of my other gears work fine. What would i have to get done or what part would i have to gget to fix this problem. Thank you
