The car is top quality except for one thing, in the V6 models for that body style, there is about a 50% chance that your transmission is going to fail. The warranty runs out at 107K miles so you would be out of luck. If the transmission has been changed recently, I would buy it, because besides the transmission problem that body style Accord is AMAZING quality wise. You could easily take it past 250K miles.
If it has been taken care of you have at least another 200,000 miles. I don't like Honda's myself but I have a lot of friends and family that swear by them and besides one 1996 Honda Accord that was a lemon I have never seen a bad one. I have an aunt right now with a 1993 Accord with 345,000 miles and its still going strong I also have an aunt with a 1998 Honda CR-V with 225,000 miles and just front driving it you could never tell it had such high mileage so I would go ahead and by the Accord if it was in good condition.
Not at all. It's just been broken in. How much are you paying for it? I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla with 246,000 miles on it and it's still running. Ask to see maintenance records. If the oil has been changed on a regular basis ( every 3000 to 5000 miles) and it has had regular 30,000 maintenance it should be a good car.
That's middle age for a honda. Aggressive driving and high city miles aside. You should be fine. 112K is not excessive. Oil changes at regular intervals are definitely the best way to take care of your engine.
