home wiring question?????????

hi. i have about four new outlets and switches i need to jumper from existing wires. the old wires ran directly to dedicated appliances. the new jumpered wires, from the ceiling, will be going to outlet boxes in the wall. the problem is, how do i get around the top plates, and studs too for that matter? attic access is out of the question, (corner of eved roof), and i don't want to cut drywall unless i have too. thank you. jim
