Home Screen Bar

I was wondering if there is a way to change the shortcuts on the bar at the bottom of the home screen. Right now it has a link to dial a call, open the applications list, and go to Faves. I have a MyTouch 3G Slide by T-Mobile running android 2.1 and it is has not been rooted.

if you're not rooted, i don't think there is. i know you can if you root and get a few mods on there.

You would have to use an alternate launcher like Launcher Pro or ADW.

Launcher Pro would work perfectly, except it only has five home screens instead of seven. Is there a way to change that?

Launcher Pro has up to 7 screens. You just need to change it in settings.

I really enjoy LauncherPro great App. You can not only have 7 screens but you can also have 3 docks to add shortcuts on. But the best part is the 3D App Drawer. Also does anyone know if they have like a app that takes screen shots?

You can take screen shots by downloading the android sdk and in the tools folder is ddms, just double click on it with your device connected. Not sure if there is an app for unrooted phones to do screen shots.
