I am looking to buy a home projector and I need a little help. I am going to be using it in an open room that has quite a bit of light. I know these aren't the best conditions, but hey it's what I have to work with. What i am thinking is that because the room is not pitch black I will need a projector with more lumens(I was thinking 3000+) and I also heard that if you project onto a black screen it helps with the black levels??? I don't need a 1080p projector but I would like to have a 720p. Also i want to stay around $1500 or less. Bulb life would have to be reasonable because I dont want to have to replace a bulb constantly. Thank you for your help.
