home microdermabrasion

I use it once a day, used to be once or twice a week with the old version of the cream. The new version is gentler and can be used everyday and that's what I do. The 1 oz jar lasts me about one and a half months.

My red scars are usually all gone within 2 months, but I also use Silkia camellia oil and Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA Souffle which help fade red marks too.

Hi, I remeraber seeing a link on this site before where you could buy a really good home microdermabrasion kit, and there was also this butter stuff with it as well. Just seeing if any remerabers the link and if anyone has tried it?

thanks

My regimen is very simple. I've grown out of acne now (knock on wood) and only have occasional breakouts at that time of the month. I only need to maintain my skin to keep it look good. This is what I do:

AM:
1. Purpose gentle cleanser
2. Silkia camellia oil as a moisturizer
3. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock

PM:
1. Purpose gentle cleanser
2. Epidermx microderm
3. Silkia camellia oil

If needed, I use Retin-A, aspirin mask, Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask, Alpha Hydrox 12% AHA Souffe to help clear pimples and blemishes.

It took a little over a year to remove my 2mm-deep pits. I don't consider it expensive. I've tried Neutrogena's and Loreal's home kits and they simply couldn't compare.

Yeah thats right :) I read somewhere as well that I shouldnt be using microdermabrasion if I have acne, I have a few bumps, so can I still use it? And which of their products should I be getting? thanks

I'd be careful with these kits though. Made me break out in little white lump type spots which were a nightmare to get rid of and actually made my scarring worse.

Hope it works for you though.

so you use them once a week? And how many weeks does 1 oz. last? And to get rid of just red scars how long does that take (apporximately)?

hey waterlily...i jsut tried out the oil and was wondering how much of it you put? it says 2 or 3 drops but the oil seems to squirt out and it seems like a lot more than what 'a drop' would be...thanks

You can use it if you only have a few bumps here and there. I had those when I first started and it cleared them up. I think microdermabrasion is not recommended only if your acne is very severe. If you don't have any pitted scars, you can use the microderm cream alone. Otherwise get the camellia oil also. This stuff together with the microderm got rid of my pitting (2mm deep), seriously.

hey waterlily, do you think you can tell me your regimen? Im thinking of getting it but not sure how often I should be using each of them. Thanks

BeautiControl also has a home microderm abrasion kit. It's worked really well for me, and although the entire kit was I think about $50 or $60, I've used it for over a year and still have quite a bit of the cream left. And almost no scarring whatsoever.

sounRAB pretty amazing, how long did this all take? And I took a look at the site and its about $22 for 1 oz of dermabrasion. That seems pretty expensive for so little..?!

hey just one last quesiton :) did you get small pimples here and there when you started out? i have a few and was just wondering if it was because of the new products or what?!
