Home loan:bank is requiring that I pay off all my credit card. Can I fake it?

Yeah, I have quite a bit of debt accumulated over the years (due to personal reasons, please don't judge). I had about $20000 of credit card debt and I paid off $12000 of it already, but the home lender is making me pay off all of them. I don't want to because the #1: I don't want to empty my bank account. #2: I'm locked in to a low 3% rate and that's actually cheaper than the home loan rate.

They are asking for a print out of my online statement showing proof of 0 balance.

Can I just edit the numbers on the printout? Since they most likely will NOT be able to see my actual balance due because my credit report won't even reflect the changes for months.

You are basically asking "Can I commit mortgage fraud to buy a house because I have too much debt already?" You are SOOOO asking to be thrown in jail for doing this. Don't you realize that all the bank has to do is pull up your credit report and see that you were lying and they have the RIGHT to foreclose on you ON THE SPOT???
