So about 24hrs ago I updated my Nexus One to the new 2.3.4 Gingerbread software and right after it completed installation, my homescreen/home launcher does not work any more. Whenever I go to the home, it freezes and I cannot open anything or swipe and it force closes on me every time. I can only get to my messages through the notification bar and I can still answer my call. My phone isn't rooted and never has, all current programs and software are all legitimate and purchased through the market. So I don't know what happened. I tried manually reinstalling the new software, didn't work. I tried manually installing 2.3.3 and it aborted each time. So what can I do? Is there a patch out there? I really don't want to flash my phone to gain root access mostly because I have a lot of contacts I don't want to loose and since I can't access them.
So any ideas?
