O.K.

My T3 finally came in and now I'll probably have a few questions come up since this device is a bit different than my old Palm m515 (RIP) ..............

Anyhow, how can I make a different application launch by tapping the "HOME" icon (other than what is "preset")?

Cheers,

Syno

Have you tried tapping and holding on the "Home" icon? That should bring up a list of applications to assign to the button. (Either that or it'll bring up a list of the most recent apps. My T|3 died so long ago, I can't remember.)

I also seem to remember that in the Preferences there was an option to assign apps to the different buttons and silkscreen buttons.

If my T|3 had a usable digitizer, I'd fire it up and check to see.

And yes, blasphemy though it seem, I do like it better. I know, it's crazy.

I loved my T|3, but the faulty digitizer forced me to replace it, and the lackluster PalmOne PDA's forced me to pick up the Zodiac2. If only it had Wi-Fi...

In Prefs, you can assign various apps to the hardware buttons. If you tap and hold on the Home icon displayed on the status bar, it will show the recently used apps. To change the app assigned to the home icon, you need to tap and hold on the home icon shown next to the virtual grafitti area. This can be done for any of the silkscreen icons.
