I was hoping they would put the first one on over christmas, the two sequels are on instead on CH4.
Does anyone know it'll be on another channel?

Checking www.radiotimes.com it doesn't seem to be scheduled anytime in the next two weeks. As Christmas is a perfect time to show such a film, I'd suggest it won't be on anytime soon, or they would have put it on over the festive period.

Yes, the original is a classic.
My daughters were transfixed when this was first shown on TV and for that, I was grateful

Correction; "You" think number two was the best one.

Fact; The original Home Alone "is the best Home Alone film".

I also happen to consider the first film as my favourite of the "Three".

Home Alone 2 is merely a remake of the original with a bigger budget. It's still enjoyable, don't get me wrong.

It seemed like they were claiming unsubstantiated facts to me, going by how I read it.

EXAMPLE:

"Rocky IV is the best Rocky film."

No it isn't. The best Rocky film is the original.

"Rocky IV is my favourite Rocky film."

Fair enough.

See the difference there?

Rocky III happens to be my favourite Rocky film.

I shall be watching Home Alone on Christmas Eve along with my family, as we have done every Christmas since it was first released on Home Video.

I love this film! I watched it last night with my sister... always gets me in the Christmas mood!

One thing I ALWAYS say when I watch it is;

- When Kate + Peter were in Paris after realizing Kevin is at home, they pull out their address book to try and ring around the neighbourhood for someone to go and check on Kevin.
WHY don't they just ring Kevin at home? They'd know he was safe then because they'd be speaking to him!

I know its a fun film, but this always make me go 'duhhh'

3 was different with new family, and idea.

It isn't a fact that Home Alone is the best Home Alone film though, is it? No...it's your opinion...so...you just did exactly what I did? Stop making a fuss over it anyway, it was just an opinion. I can't stand people that turn harmless threaRAB into arguments.
