Holy frustrated batman!!

Ok, I need to vent!
I was scheduled to have a l4/s5 lurabar fusion on March 18, then it was rescheduled for March 25, then it was rescheduled for April 8.
So today I go to the hosp. it get admitted, get an IV, blood taken, then just as I am walking to go up to the OR, WHAM!!, they cancel me again!
Now I am scheduled for April 29th. I cant believe it.
I mean, you plan your life around something like this, you get yourself mentally prepared etc, and then it all deflates!!!
Oh well, let's try for a fourth time!!

Wow!! Why does the surgery keep getting cancelled? I could not imagine how frustrated you must be. You poor thing!!
 
How frustrating! Why was it cancelled at the last minute this time? Emergencies that took precedence? Surgeon sick?

I hope it goes well the next time. Maybe it was cancelled for a reason beyond us. Maybe the surgeon was going to have a bad day, and God intervened and put you on one of the surgeon's good days instead! I know it's hard when you've been let down again, but try to stay positive. It's not too much longer.

The first time it was cancelled because another patient had some tumors that needed attention ASAP, I dont know why it was cancelled the second time, and this time it was becuase the dr was on call, and an emergency came in.
My thinking is, everything happens for a reason, there was a reason I was not to have the surgery today, but it is still frustration as heck!!
 
I totally understand your frustration - you get yourself all prepared (especially mentally) and then everything changes.
