Holy crap! something really weird just happened!?

When I was sleeping my dog woke me up with the loud and disgusting sound of licking himself. so I leaned over the bed and snapped my fingers to get him to stop and the strangest thing happened. this is going to sound really crazy but it became light out. it's like I snapped my fingers and it became light outside.(before it was completely dark)
it was really bizarre. the only explanation I can think of is that I snapped my fingers, fell asleep and woke up in the light, but that sounds too far-fetched
maybe it was something with my eyes, I don't know
if any of you could come up with a logical explanation that would help

Maybe you snapped your fingers with your eyes closed and opened them after you snapped them without noticing. That sounds very logical to me.
