Holster/clip vs pouch for Palm Centro (Sprint)?

I've heard of clips/holster clips that you move a little bit and the phone falls out. I've also seen cops using holster clips (swivel) with no problem. But then there's the idea of a horizontal/vertical pouch. Although it provides little change if you wanted to switch from horizontal/vertical, it seems the phone would never fall OUT of the case.

The Centro is a bigger phone than a regular cellphone because it is a smartphone. Therefore, it's not so great in the front pockets. I like wearing cargo pants and putting a wallet in one and the Centro in the other, but when I have to use the regular pockets, I'd rather have a belt option for the Centro.

Any thoughts (Serious Only) on which option works best and maybe some specific recommendations for one of the clips/pouches out there? I drive a low-down car, commute sometimes by bike, sometimes salsa, sometimes EMS, and sometimes some A/V work requiring a lot of climbing around places.
