Hockey the most underrated sport in America?

I know I am asking this in a hockey section but does anyone honestly agree with me that hockey is the most underrated sport in America? It pisses me off when I see NBA games on TNT and ESPN at night when I know that hockey is way more exciting and fun to watch. I think the NBA gets way to much attention and the NHL is more exciting and should get the TV time it deserves.

Wow, what Mick said sums it all up. I agree, even with the arrival of super star players in the State such as Crosby and Ovechkin (yes I'm calling them both super stars) and the moving of Canadian teams to US cities, the sport is still pretty quiet.

it takes a lot of talent just to skate. then, you have to have a mind for the game, and it's played FAST.

no other sport is as frenetic, maybe soccer is closest.

I say Yes If NBC and Versus has them plus they know this game is better off in Canada, If Americans had an Open Mind they would find Hockey better then Baseball, Basketball, NASCAR, Tennis and Golf, I'm Glad to be a Hockey fan.
