Windows Media Player emerged victorious in this weekend's Hive Five Six Best DVR Applications, besting the Linux-based MythTV (which came in second) and TiVo (third) for the top slot. Considering the bad rap Vista gets as an operating system, the killer media center that comes packaged with it is an incredible win for Microsoft. Keep up the good work, Redmond.
