Hittin a car while parallel parking?

what causes you to hit a car while parallel parking. i kind of side swiped the car while parallel parking a few weeks ago. Or seems like iam going to hit it and i just pull off to a spot on corner of block. What causes front of my car to tap the cars bumper in front of the parking spot. Am i pulling up to far or what.. thank you

Driving is pretty easy , but parking is a skill you have to learn. It helps if you have a small car to practice with. I drive a big old one ton flatbed truck and and I can park it on a dime (of course I've been driving for almost 20 years ). Just hang in there , you'll get it.
