I was discussing Hitler's artwork with a colleague and that changed to a discussion of his death.
Of course, he shot himself, had his staff toss his body in a bomb crater and pour gas on him then light him on fire.... but it doesn't seem that would destroy the remains, just make them harder to identify. So where did what was left actually go?
In addition, what happened to the Walther PPK he used to kill himself? Did one of the staff take it, what did they do with it? Was it captured by the Soviets and if so, where did it go? Did it get buried in the rubble when they blew up the bunker?
Basically.... where is the body and where is the weapon?
