it was the Native Americans land, and the English came and took it over, the English used weppons, and they were aggressive. the Native Americans thought of the land as "Gods Land".

spanish missions- as in aztecs and incas with pizarro and cortez? (google these please)

jamestown tobacco- john rolfe perfected the growing of tobacco, would later be used in the colonies a lot and lead to importation of slaves

puritans migrated to new england because they wanted to be "pure" and separated from england, especially since henry the 8 made his one anglican church
