i am doing history research and my topic is Civil War was not worth the costs and my subtopics are Racism and Economic Suffering. Since racism still continued and the economy is bad. my teacher said that i should look in memphis and mew orleans for racism and georgia for economy. Please help me i can't find anything.
See i need things that happened before segregation so it cant be segregation because my teacher isnt letting me use it and i am allowed to use things leading up to the civil war.
 
Maybe you should look into newspaper articles or articles on yahoo. Police beatings....race violence at school, anything you can think of.
